Barbara M. Katz

For more than 20 years, Barbara M. Katz has been helping others create the lives they want and deserve - initially as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and more recently as a Retirement Coach.

Applying her unique blend of experience, intuition, and education, Barbara feels privileged to assist “baby boomers” as they uncover their strengths and passions, illuminate their dreams, and create a retirement that is tailor-made and special to them.

Barbara’s experience, certifications and affiliations as a Counselor and Coach include:

  • Graduate of the vanguard class of Authentic Happiness taught by world renowned Dr. Martin Seligman (psychologist, author, and Positive Psychology pioneer)
  • MA degree in counseling
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (in successful private practice for over two decades)

Over the years, Barbara has taught at UCLA’s Osher Life-Long Institute, served as President of her local professional organization, authored a monthly relationship column for Family Magazine, and has provided consulting and counseling services for numerous small businesses and non-profit agencies.

Her passion for helping others is matched only by her passion for life. Barbara is an avid biker and ballroom dancer, a devoted mother of three and proud grandmother to an increasing number of grandchildren.
